Planning and Capturing a two minute promotional video for sustainable flower farm in Marden, Kent

PLANNING

Their story, values & Heart

First was a deep dive into Chambers Farm story, how they started, why they do what they do, who for and why. Every good plan should know the absolute fundamentals of a business. I loved hearing about their sustainable approach to flower farming and what that meant physically on the farm so we could include as many visuals for this as possible as it's at the forefront of their values and messaging.

I learnt all the different offerings of the business from PYO, plant sales, workshops and a beautiful Welcome garden where you can sit and enjoy a drink and homemade cake amongst the beautiful blooms - dreamy.

Capture

WHAT TO CAPTURE

We discussed the tone of voice / feel, the journey the video would go on and how the end video would look. We created a collaborative mood board and I also created a storyboard for us both to work from on the day.

easing nerves

We eased into the video shoot, starting with a cuppa and then literally walked through the process, always chatting and laughing, always checkin in on how things felt and answering any questions.

gallery

what was delivered

The gallery held a 2 minute landscape video for use on website and a number of short clips in both landscape and portrait orientation for use across website and social media.

This means we maximised our time and energy to create a diverse gallery in one session; the clips that did not make it in to the two minute video were used and the client had material to promote in short form content, too.
